Ordering & Payment
Rosita's Flowers is a real design studio, not an order-forwarding website. Here is how ordering actually works, and what to expect when you call.
How do I place an order with Rosita's Flowers?
There are three ways. Call us at (619) 595-0607 during business hours, send us a message through our contact page, or walk into the shop at 2924 National Ave, San Diego, CA 92113. Every arrangement is designed by hand once we know the occasion, so a short conversation gets you a better result than a checkbox ever would.
Why is there no shopping cart or online checkout on your website?
That is deliberate. We do not sell pre-boxed arrangements shipped from a warehouse. Every piece that leaves our shop is built by a designer that day, using what came in fresh. A two-minute call at (619) 595-0607 lets us match your budget, your colors and the occasion far more closely than a stock photo could.
Can I order flowers if I do not know exactly what I want?
Yes, and most people do. Tell us three things: the occasion, roughly what you want to spend, and any colors or feeling you have in mind. Our designers take it from there. Designer's choice arrangements are often the most beautiful work that leaves our shop, because we build around the freshest flowers in the cooler that morning.
How much do your arrangements cost?
We work across a wide price range rather than fixed packages, because flower cost moves with the season and the market. Tell us your number when you call and we will tell you honestly what is possible for that budget on that day. You can see the range of what we build in our flower gallery.
Can I place an order now for a future date?
Yes. We schedule ahead all the time for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and standing weekly deliveries for homes and offices. Give us the date when you call and we will design it fresh that morning rather than holding flowers in the cooler. For recurring office service, see our corporate flowers page.
Can I change or cancel an order after placing it?
Call us at (619) 595-0607 as soon as you know. If we have not started designing, changes are usually simple. Once an arrangement is built and loaded for delivery it becomes much harder. For anything time-sensitive always call rather than email, so it reaches a person instead of an inbox.
Delivery & Pickup
We deliver across National City, San Diego and the South Bay. Full details of every neighborhood we cover are on our service areas page.
Which cities and neighborhoods do you deliver flowers to?
We deliver throughout San Diego and the South Bay. Each neighborhood has its own page: National City, Chula Vista, Bonita, Coronado, Lemon Grove, La Mesa and Barrio Logan. Not listed? Call (619) 595-0607 and ask.
How late in the day can I call and still get flowers delivered today?
Same-day delivery depends on the day, the route and what is in the cooler. Our hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm, and the earlier in that window you call, the better your odds. Call (619) 595-0607 and we will tell you straight away whether today is possible.
Can I pick up my order at the shop instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Pickup at 2924 National Ave, San Diego, CA 92113 is welcome and it is the fastest option. Tell us roughly when you are coming and we will have it ready and wrapped. Walk-ins are welcome too, though calling ahead means we can have exactly what you want waiting for you.
Can you deliver to a hospital, funeral home, church, hotel or office?
Yes, and we do it constantly. What helps is detail: the facility name, the room number, ward or service time, the recipient's full name, and a phone number for someone on site. Hospitals and venues have their own delivery rules, and that information is what gets your flowers into the right hands.
What happens if nobody is home when the flowers arrive?
Give us delivery instructions when you order, such as a safe shaded spot, a neighbor, or a front office. If we arrive with no instructions and no answer, we will call you before leaving anything, because flowers left in San Diego sun for hours are not the gift you paid for.
Do you deliver on Sundays or holidays?
We are closed on Sundays. Around major flower holidays such as Valentine's Day and Mother's Day we regularly extend our hours, sometimes well into the evening. Call (619) 595-0607 ahead of the holiday to confirm that week's schedule and to get your order on the books early.
How far in advance should I order for a specific delivery date?
For an everyday arrangement, a day or two is plenty. For Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and graduation season, order a week or more ahead. Those weeks sell out, and ordering early is the difference between the arrangement you pictured and whatever is still available on the morning of.

Wedding Flowers
We have designed wedding flowers across San Diego County for more than twenty years. For pricing, booking timelines and setup, see our San Diego wedding florist page.
What actually happens at a wedding flower consultation?
Bring inspiration photos, your color palette, a photo of the dress if you have one, your venue, and your guest count. We talk through what each part of the day needs, what those flowers cost in your season, and where your budget will show most. You leave with a clear design direction and a written quote.
Can you match a specific color palette or recreate a photo I found online?
Usually yes, within what the season allows. We work from your palette and your inspiration images. If a specific bloom in that photo is out of season or unavailable on your date, we substitute within the same color and texture family, so the finished look reads the same even if the ingredient list changes.
What if the flowers I want are not in season on my wedding date?
We will tell you honestly at the consultation rather than on the morning of. Some blooms, peonies especially, have short seasons and steep off-season pricing. There is almost always a beautiful alternative that holds the same shape and color, and often it lets you put more of the budget where guests actually see it.
Do you design flowers for the whole wedding party, not just the bride?
Yes. Bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages for mothers and grandmothers, flower crowns and flower girl petals are all part of what we design, and we keep them consistent with your bridal bouquet. Browse examples in our gallery before your consultation.
Can you work within my venue's rules on setup times, candles or installations?
Yes. Tell us your venue and what it allows, and we plan around it. San Diego venues vary a lot on load-in windows, open flame, ceiling rigging and what must be cleared the same night. We have worked venues across the county, from Coronado to the South Bay, and we build to those constraints.
Funeral & Sympathy Flowers
If you are arranging flowers for a service, call us at (619) 595-0607 and we will walk you through it. Delivery details are on our funeral flowers page.
What is the difference between a standing spray, a casket spray and a sympathy basket?
A standing spray sits on an easel beside the casket and is seen by everyone at the service. A casket spray lies across the casket itself. A sympathy basket or vase arrangement is smaller and travels well, which makes it right for sending to the family's home rather than to the service.
Who is traditionally supposed to send the casket spray?
The casket spray is traditionally sent by the immediate family, so it is usually arranged by a spouse, children or parents. Extended family, friends, coworkers and neighbors normally send standing sprays, wreaths, crosses or arrangements. If you are unsure which role is yours, call (619) 595-0607 and we will help you choose.
Should I send flowers to the service or to the family's home?
Flowers for the service need to arrive before it begins, so timing matters and we need the funeral home name and service time. Flowers sent to the home are often more meaningful in the quiet weeks after, when the visitors have gone. Many families appreciate one of each, sent at different times.
What should I write on the sympathy card?
Short and sincere beats long and polished. Naming the person who died, and one specific thing you remember about them, is worth more than a paragraph of formal condolence. Tell us roughly what you want to say when you order and we will help you word it and write it out for you.
Can you design a tribute that reflects our family's heritage or faith?
Yes, and this is work we care about. We design rosary pieces, crosses, sacred heart tributes, marigold arrangements for Dia de los Muertos, and pieces built around the colors of a home country or a favorite dress. As a family-owned Latino shop in National City, these traditions are ours too.

Corporate & Event Flowers
From weekly lobby arrangements to convention floor installations. Lead times and delivery coverage are on our corporate event flowers page.
Do you do grand openings, ribbon cuttings and business anniversaries?
Yes. Openings and milestones are one of our favorite kinds of work, because they are celebratory and highly visible. We design entry arrangements, podium and step-and-repeat florals, and congratulatory pieces sized for photographs. Call (619) 595-0607 with your date and we will scope it with you.
Can you design to our brand colors or an event theme?
Yes. Send us your brand colors, a hex code or a logo, or describe the theme, and we design toward it within what is available that season. Corporate color matching is usually easier than wedding color matching, since we can lean on reliable year-round blooms and foliage to hold the palette.
Do you handle setup at the venue and same-night teardown?
Yes, we deliver and set up at venues across San Diego County, and we can arrange collection of rental containers and structures afterward. Tell us your venue's load-in window and clear-out deadline when you book, since convention centers and hotels are strict about both.
Can one order go to multiple offices or multiple recipients?
Yes. Client gifting, employee appreciation and multi-site deliveries are routine for us. Send a list of recipients, addresses and card messages, and we will handle it as a single order. For recurring programs we can set up a standing schedule so you are not re-ordering every month.
Everyday Flowers & Occasions
Birthdays, apologies, new babies, thank-yous and no reason at all. See what we build day to day on our daily florals page.
Is it okay to buy flowers the day before I need them?
Yes, and often it is the smarter choice. Fresh flowers bought a day early have time to open and drink, and they frequently look better on the day than flowers cut open that morning. Keep them cool and in water overnight. We wrote a full guide on this: is it okay to buy flowers a day before.
What flowers should I send for a birthday?
Bright and personal beats formal. Gerbera daisies, sunflowers, mixed seasonal bouquets and colorful roses all read as celebratory. If you know a favorite color or flower, tell us and we will build around it. If you do not, tell us about the person and we will design something that fits them.
What should I send to apologize, or just because?
For an apology, keep it sincere rather than extravagant. A thoughtful mixed bouquet with a handwritten card lands better than the biggest arrangement in the shop. For no reason at all, a simple seasonal bunch on an ordinary Tuesday is one of the most effective gifts there is. Our guide to choosing flowers for any occasion goes deeper.
How long will my flowers last, and how do I make them last longer?
Most fresh arrangements hold well for around a week with a little care. Change the water every two days, trim the stems at an angle each time, keep the vase out of direct sunlight and away from ripening fruit, and pull any spent blooms. Those four habits make more difference than any additive.
Are orchids or plants a good gift instead of cut flowers?
They are an excellent choice when you want the gift to last months rather than a week, which makes them well suited to housewarmings, offices and thank-yous. Availability varies by season, so call (619) 595-0607 to ask what we have in. We wrote about the timing here: when to give orchids.
Can you add balloons, chocolates or a plush toy to an arrangement?
We frequently carry add-ons, especially around Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and graduation season, when balloons and plush move quickly. Stock changes through the year, so ask when you call (619) 595-0607 and we will tell you what is on the shelf that week rather than promising something we do not have.

Quinceanera & Cultural Celebrations
A family-owned Latino flower shop in National City, designing for the celebrations our own community marks. Se habla espanol.
Do you design flowers for quinceaneras?
Yes, and it is one of the things we are known for. We design the bouquet the quinceanera carries, damas bouquets, boutonnieres for the chambelanes, church and altar pieces, table centerpieces and the flowers for the presentation. Call (619) 595-0607 to book a design consultation for your date.
What flowers are traditionally used in a quinceanera?
Roses are the anchor, often in the color of the dress, with the quinceanera's bouquet built to complement it. Blush, white, deep red, burgundy and royal blue palettes are all common, and gold or marigold accents show up frequently. We design to your dress and your church rather than to a template.
Do you make Dia de los Muertos arrangements?
Yes. Cempasuchil, the marigold, is central to the tradition, and we design ofrenda arrangements, altar pieces and graveside flowers each year. Order early in the season, because marigold supply around the beginning of November is tight everywhere in San Diego. Call (619) 595-0607 to reserve yours.
Do you design flowers for baptisms, first communions and confirmations?
Yes. We design church arrangements, altar pieces, small bouquets for the child, corsages for godparents and centerpieces for the celebration afterward. These are usually simpler and more affordable than wedding or quinceanera work, and we are happy to build within a modest budget.
Hablan espanol? Do you take orders in Spanish?
Si. Somos una floreria familiar en National City y con gusto atendemos su pedido en espanol. Llamenos al (619) 595-0607 o visitenos en 2924 National Ave, San Diego, CA 92113. Yes, we take orders in Spanish by phone or in person, and you will be talking to the family that runs the shop.
